America, Let It Shine by Sherry Reynolds

While at the International Machine Quilter's Association MQS 2013 I had the opportunity to see many amazing quilts one of which I couldn't wait to share!!

America, Let It Shine, by Sherry Reynolds

Isn't it spectacular?

Hopefully you will be able to read this.  Each part of this quilt has significance regarding our Country.

Some Detail shots!  Look at those feathers!  I love the larger ones and then the row of smaller feathers.

The off white border was quilted in gold thread and had sayings by our forefathers.

This star is stunning, the points are beyond perfect and the quilting gives the star such wonderful movement.

Straight lines weren't used a lot in this quilt but where they were used was perfection!  Here is an example of the straight quilting lines, they really highlight the radiating star.

I really want to try these two border fills soon!  The micro stippling is perfection!

Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

Happy Quilting!
